| From the Friuli to California. The story of the seven Jacuzzi brothers begins in 1917, as many others, but continues in an extraordinary way. Their design and craftsmanship created pumps, propellers and even airplanes until, in the year 1956 - and not quite coincidentally - they produced the prototype of the Jacuzzi whirlpool bath. |
It was the “fault” of the rheumatoid arthritis which one of the young Jacuzzi brothers suffered: as a remedy, his father converted a pump mechanism into a therapeutical apparatus.

Roy Jacuzzi’s intuition of the inventions’ potential in 1968 brought upon the creation of the definite form by his developing the hydro-massage system with the use of water-jets built into bathtubs and showerboxes.
The original and current model “Flexa”, you will find in each room of the Hotel “Pensione Barrett”, is the up to date base of every new design.
