The Hotel “Pensione Barrett” (highlighted in yellow) faces directly into the archaeological area on Largo Torre Argentina (highlighted in green) in the heart of the historical centre of Rome.

The archaeological complex of four very ancient Roman temples, dated 400 B.C. from the Republican Period, saw the light in 1926.

The Area Sacra (The Holy Area) was opened to the public, after three years excavation work, the evening of the 25th of October 1929 with a solemn performance of the opera “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at the Teatro Argentina.
